My name is Empress Philip, and I’m a 22-year-old entrepreneur with a deep love for my island home—Dominica, the Nature Isle of the Caribbean. Through Coco Chocolat, I’m proud to bring you a taste of my culture and heritage, one handcrafted product at a time.
Growing up surrounded by nature, tradition, and strong community values, I was inspired to create something that not only honors my roots but also shares them with the world. From our rich cacao and coconut oil to our artisanal chocolates and island-made wellness products, every item is made with intention, care, and pride.
When I moved to St. Croix, my mission became even clearer—to share my culture with those who may not know it, and to reconnect my people living here with the traditions, flavors, and spirit of Dominica. Coco Chocolat is more than a business; it's a bridge between islands, memories, and generations.
Dominica is a place of rivers, rainforests, and resilient people. It’s also home to the Kalinago Territory, where culture and craft are kept alive through generations. These traditions—like weaving baskets and baking cassava bread—are part of what makes our island so special, and I’m passionate about keeping that spirit alive in everything Coco Chocolat offers.
